As you have probably
guessed by now, I am a Law Man by trade. In the wild west of the 1800's, there was a
decidedly blatant lack of law and order. Men were gunned down for little or no reason and
the "Law of the Land" was supreme: "Only the strong survive". Thus,
the Law was introduced to the frontier. It was meted out by men of legend such as Wyatt
Earp and Bat Masterson. They had a style that tamed a frontier.
More than a hundred years
have passed and we would no longer tolerate that style of enforcement. We are much more
civilized than our wild west counterparts and we all live in harmony at last. Or are we?
Let's take a look, shall we?
Back then men were gunned
down in gun fights in the street. Today we have drive by shootings. Back then property was
stolen by the stronger and the weak were helpless. Today the strong still feed off the
weak. Theft is running rampant. Cars are stolen or car-jacked, the elderly are swindled,
jackets and tennis shoes are taken right off the backs of our children by the animals in
the street. A lot has changed hasn't it?
The only thing to change
is that now the criminals are the protected ones. We no longer look to the good of society
but have gone to an over dependence on individual rights. We no longer care about justice
but we pick apart under a microscope who's rights might have been violated. AND, when we
discover that perhaps no ones rights were violated, we make up some false testimony and
frame "someone" so as to quell those who did not like the answer. The Rodney
King fiasco is a perfect example. The officers were found not guilty which, from viewing
the Entire film, was a good judgment. However, because the criminals rioted in the
streets, the Federal Government railroaded these officers and they were found guilty after
their second trial. What ever happened to the constitution and the part about not being
judged for the same crime twice?
Will there come a time
when society will say enough is enough? We as a country have already turned our backs on
God. How would our founding fathers feel about this one? We have now turned our backs on
justice. How much more is there to give before we are a frontier society again?
We need a return to God!
We need a return to justice! We need a return to the Law Men of old.
You are visitor number
May God protect you.
